Description
A defining leadership opportunity at the heart of east London.
Barts Health is one of the largest and most influential healthcare organisations in the country, serving a diverse population of more than two million people across north east London while playing a leading role in shaping healthcare nationally. Operating at scale but delivering locally through our five hospitals, we have a unique opportunity to improve outcomes, reduce inequalities and set the standard for modern, integrated care.
We are now seeking a Chief Executive for Newham Hospital, a vital district hospital at the centre of one of the UK’s most dynamic and diverse communities.
As a member of the Group Executive and Trust Board, you will play a key role in shaping the wider strategy of Barts Health while leading Newham Hospital through its next phase. You will be accountable for delivering safe, high-quality and compassionate care, improving performance and creating an environment where our people can thrive.
This is a role defined by place-based leadership. As the Trust’s senior leader in the Borough of Newham, you will work in close partnership with local authorities, the integrated care system and community organisations to address health inequalities and deliver meaningful improvements in population health outcomes.
We are looking for an exceptional, values-led leader with the credibility to operate at Board level in a complex organisation and the ambition to drive change at scale. With a strong track record of delivering improvement in complex healthcare environments, you will combine strategic clarity with strong operational grip, alongside the ability to build an inclusive culture and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact, leading a vital London hospital while contributing to the direction of one of the NHS’s most ambitious and progressive organisations.
If you are motivated by improving outcomes, tackling inequalities and leading at scale, we would be delighted to hear from you.
